Share on FacebookI love it when internet and new technology is mixing up with parts of our world that haven't changed since the broze age.
Found an interesting article on Slashdot where a cheerleader named Sarah Jones have sued the wrong website. The reason why is not the point here. The lawyer should have sued the website named TheDirty.com but happend to sue the website TheDirt.com.
This is rather funny and website TheDirt.com is suing Sarah for false claiming libel. You can read more at techDirt.com

Share on Facebook | I'm one of those who use Facebook more or less daily and I'm always amazed about the speed and availability of facebook. They are using PHP. If Facebok is running PHP on their site it says alot of PHP and the power of this small and simple language. Combine this with cache it's one of the best languages for the web. I read an article on their developerblog about how they have changed the way they serve all users. Facebook have deloped a PHP compiler and named it HipHop. Simple way of explaining this is that it compiles PHP to C++ and then runned as a webserver. Go read more about this

Share on FacebookA friend of mine was looking for a link at pirate bay, i thought that it could not be that hard to find it. So I found the what he was looking for and then i tried to past the URL on his wall.
To my suprise i got a message that I should try later, refreshed the paged and then tried to past my message again. Same error.
I replaced thepiratebay with something else and was able to post my message. I'm curious to see what other urls is blocked. Please let me know!
Found a post at dmwmedia that tells us this is due to the "share on facebook" feature piratebay implemented a while ago.

Share on FacebookThis is the first post and i'm in the startup phase of this blog. I've been struggeling to get the BlogEngine work with SQL instead of XML which is the default storage method.
There is not that much of information about how to enable this but the Web.Conf is preatty easy.
Follow the link to get more information on how to enable SQL support. http://blogengine.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?title=SQLServerBlogProvider&referringTitle=Home
You need to make sure that Microsoft SQL Server has TCP/IP connections enabled.
